Our normal pet sitting & dog walking hours are 7 days a week broken into multiple time frames.
Overnight services are available and timeframes will be discussed during meet & greet.
Our office hours are Monday-Saturday 9am-6pm.
We take care of any domesticated pets. Our current clients include dogs, cats, pocket pets, fish (freshwater & saltwater), birds, and reptiles. We can service farm animals if needed. If you can show us what to do, we will get it done. We handle all medical conditions, breeds and sizes.
Yes, every single one of our pet sitters have undergone a complete background check.

We are here to make sure your fur babies receive the best possible care while you are away to spend holiday time with your family & friends. Since this requires our sitters to spend additional time away from their family & friends during the holiday season, we do charge a fee of $10 per visit applied to the following holidays: New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Valentine's Day (night), Easter Weekend (including Good Friday), Mother's Day, Memorial Day Weekend (including Friday), Father's Day, 4th of July (3rd, 4th & 5th), Labor Day Weekend (including Friday), Thanksgiving Week (beginning the Friday before to the Sunday after) and Christmas & New Years (approximately December 18-January 7).
Spring Break is not charged holiday fees but because of the high volume of requests, it is treated like a holiday in accordance with holiday cancellation policies.
More than 72 hours notice Full Refund
24-72 hours notice is 50% Fee
Less than 24 hours No refunds
Refunds will be applied as a credit toward future services.
Canceling your appointment means you no longer need a sitter to come to your home, however a significant amount of time has been spent preparing for your visit, and additional time is necessary to readjust schedules and other clients' visits. Please remember that we are sometimes booked months in advance for services. We sometimes have to turn down caring for other clients, and sitters often give up plans with family and friends to care for your fur babies.
We will notify you that there is not enough food ahead of time for you to decide if you would like to place an order for delivery or we can make a special trip to purchase your pet’s exact food. We will add the food and a $20 service charge to your bill which you can handle once you return home.
We always keep a few open spots in our schedule in the event that your trip runs long, or you would just like to add an extra day to your vacation. Please keep in contact with us and we will make sure your pets are covered. There are no last-minute booking fees.
Absolutely! We much prefer if you leave cash for your sitter at your home, leave a note so they are aware it is for them. Gift cards are also a great idea and are appreciated. You may add a tip to your bill if that is more convenient.
No, we do require an initial consultation before taking care of your pets. We must make sure we are all a good fit prior to taking care of your fur babies.
Yes, as we do require most of our clients to give us 2 keys. Remember we are bonded & insured. There is a $20.00 charge if additional trips are made to pick up or drop off keys at your home. If only 1 key is given, we will make a copy and charge it to your account for the copy and a $20 service fee. If you want to avoid the charge and are truly against giving us a key, we can provide you with a lock box during our initial consultation. During that time, we will come up with a plan as to where the lock box will be attached and at that time put your key in it. The cost for this program is $30. In the event that you move or discontinue services we will remove the lock box and leave your key with you. Also, if you wish for us to enter via the garage or front door with a code we would need a secondary way to enter the home in the event of a power outage or back up just in case the main form of entry fails.
As we know living in Texas our weather can sometimes be pretty unpredictable. We have a few different ways of handling these things.
In the event of a possible hurricane or ice storm/freeze, we will be reaching out to you to discuss how you would like us to proceed ahead of time. In some instances, we just continue services as usual unless things escalate.
In the event of a flash flood or unexpected storm, we will wait until it is safe to drive and get to your pets as soon as possible. However, if one of our sitters is physically unable to reach your home due to impassable roads, we will reach out to your emergency contact if we are not able to get in contact with you first.
This is why we do require the name and phone number of a person living nearby to be listed as an emergency contact. Your pet’s health and well-being are our utmost concern and we will do everything in our power to get to them as soon as possible. No matter which event we will contact you as soon as possible to keep you informed of what is happening.
We do try to keep with the same sitters for your visits as much as possible. However, if one of the sitters is not available we will send another qualified sitter to care for your babies. This is why it is so important to make sure all information in your profile is up to date so there is no confusion or issues during your service.
We do not provide any every other day service when pets are involved. All cats must be visited at least once per day but we do prefer twice because a lot can happen in that 24 hour span of time. This is for the health and safety of your fur-baby and the security of your home so we can make sure that nothing has happened (i.e. pipe burst, gas leak, vandalism to your property plus a million other things that can occur).
Very similarly to cats, we do not provide single visit services when dogs are involved. All dogs must be visited at least twice a day but we do recommend three because a lot can happen in that 12 hour span of time. This is for the health and safety of your fur-baby and the security of your home so we can make sure that nothing has happened (i.e. your dog getting out of the yard while no one is there, pipe burst, gas leak, vandalism to your property plus a million other things that can occur). This does not apply for your departure day if leaving later in the day or the day you will be arriving back home if you have an early arrival.
Yes, please let us know if someone will be in your home during our scheduled visits. There is a liability issue that comes into play but we would discuss that if you would have someone other than us entering into the home. It also makes our heart skip a beat if we meet a stranger in your home! (Including family members.) We don’t mind if someone will be at your home outside of our scheduled visits. It definitely does make our sitters a little nervous to find items moved around in your home especially if we are not expecting anyone else to be there, but we will contact you if we have any questions.
Absolutely! All updates and communication are done in our portal through Time To Pet. Prior to our initial meet & greet you will receive your own personal login sent to your email with instructions on how to activate your account. Please be sure to review and update all pet and personal information prior to the start of your scheduled services. Please include all changes in health, feeding instructions, medication, behavior, etc. The Pet Lady will not be held responsible for any misunderstandings of feeding/medication/behavior-related issues due to failure to update your profile or lack of communication. We do require you to download the Time To Pet mobile app for the best & quickest response between you & our team. You can find the link to it here.
No, we do not provide boarding services for your pets in our home. To legally offer those services we would have to have a kennel license & permit. We do provide daily visits to your home for your pets or we can stay overnight in your home if requested.
During our initial meeting we will customize a schedule to best fit your pet’s needs. Your pet will be much more comfortable, happier and stress free in their own home.
The sooner the better! Especially for holidays and busier times of the year to ensure we have the availability and coverage. No matter what we will try our best to accommodate your request but if we are completely booked there is nothing we can do as we will not put your pet or any other pets in our care at risk of not getting the best quality of care they deserve because we are overbooked. We would put you on our list just in case there are any cancellations.
