The Pet Lady (www.thepetladytx.com) an established and well-loved pet sitting & dog walking company since 2009, is seeking reliable, friendly, energetic, mature, and self-motivated animal lovers. This position would be great for a Vet Tech, College Student or someone that is looking for a flexible schedule and a supplemental income.

Job Overview:
We are seeking reliable and enthusiastic Dog Walkers & Pet Sitters to join The Pet Lady team. With The Pet Lady, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of dogs, cats and other type of pets; along with providing them with care, exercise and companionship. This is a great opportunity for individuals who love animals and enjoy spending time outdoors.

Responsibilities include:
- Care for pets of various breeds and sizes in owner's homes while they are away
- Provide exercise and mental stimulation for all pets in your care
- Follow specific instructions provided by pet owners regarding their pets' needs
- Maintain control of dogs during walks, using proper leash handling techniques
- Monitor pets for any signs of distress or illness and report any concerns to the pet owner or supervisor
- Clean up after pets inside & outside of the home including during walks and dispose of waste properly (Including backyard & litterboxes)
- Provide basic obedience training and reinforcement of good behaviors

- May require transportation to vet or grooming appointments. Some pet owners may request dog park visits where transportation is required to and from said visits.

- May require errands for clients to be preformed

- Making sure our client's home is properly tidied up & prepared for their arrival
- Complete an accurate visit report that includes care given, activities done with pets and any notable observations

Preferred Skills:
- Experience in dog & cat handling and understanding of their behavior
- Strong customer service skills to interact with pet owners in a professional and friendly manner
- Ability to safely restrain animals when necessary
- Knowledge of basic animal first aid and ability to respond to emergencies
- Familiarity with pet grooming techniques is a plus
- Previous experience in a veterinary or veterinary assistant role is beneficial
- Passion for animal care and commitment to providing exceptional service
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
